Meet the current AIMOS team

Jason Chin - President

Jason studies how to improve scientific research methods, transparency, and reproducibility – and their application to improving law and policy. In 2020, Jason served as elected president of AIMOS.

Aidan Tan - Vice-President

Aidan is a Paediatric Registrar at Sydney Children’s Hospital and a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney.

Jen Beaudry - Past President

Jen is the Manager of Researcher Training, Development and Communication at Flinders University. Jen has a PhD in Psychology and has extensive experience in research leadership, mentoring programs, and researcher training.

Joanna Diong - Secretary

Joanna a physiotherapist specialising in causal methods for treatment and prevention of disease, in clinical trials and observational studies, based at the University of Sydney.

Xanthi Coskinas - Treasurer

With research interests in Biostatistics, Xanthi is the Program Manager for Clinical Research at the University of Sydney. She has more than two decades of experience managing national and international clinical trials.

Gina Grimshaw

Gina Grimshaw is a Professor of Psychology at Victoria University of Wellington, and a Principal Investigator in the New Zealand Centre of Research Excellence in Complex Systems. She will chair AIMOS 2026.

Fiona Fidler

Fiona is the head of the History & Philosophy of Science department at the University of Melbourne, and co-lead of MetaMelb, an interdisciplinary metascience research group. Fiona is the founding president of AIMOS.

Kylie Hunter

Kylie is a Senior Evidence Analyst for the NextGen Evidence Synthesis Team at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre, University of Sydney.

Patrick Forscher

Patrick is the Director of the CREME meta-research team at Busara, a research and advisory nonprofit headquartered in Nairobi that does behavioral science in service of alleviating poverty.
