Tatsuya Amano

Tatsuya is an Australian Research Council Future Fellow at the University of Queensland who is interested in how scientists can make meaningful contributions to halting and reversing the ongoing global biodiversity crisis. Through his research, he has committed to tackling the gaps in our knowledge that are needed for conservation action.

His translatE project – Transcending Language Barriers to Environmental Sciences - aims to assess the importance of scientific knowledge that is available in non-English languages, understand how language barriers impede the application of science in decision making, and devise solutions for exchanging information across languages in an effective manner.
